Francois & Louis Blanc introduce the first single zero roulette in Germany. Although of French origin, they had to present their invention in Germany, since gambling was (again) illegal in their home country. With a house edge of only 2.70% (compared to the American roulette's 5.26%), the European roulette was a big hit among players, who now had an opportunity to test out their best roulette strategies with a relatively low house edge.
