Yeah, games can totally show what's important to people and even change how we think. Think about classics like Monopoly or Mario – they're all about competition and adventure, stuff that's important to us. And newer games like Minecraft or Fortnite show how much we love being creative and hanging out with friends online. So yeah, games can tell us a lot about our culture and what we care about.Optimus87 wrote: Thu Apr 04, 2024 6:43 am How do games show what's important to people and maybe even change how we think? Cultural values and interests are often reflected in games. Traditional games such as Monopoly and Mario focus on competition and adventure, whereas more recent titles like Minecraft and Fortnite emphasize creativity and social interaction, demonstrating how our priorities have evolved over time.HappyHoundsHqv2 wrote: Sun Apr 07, 2024 5:08 pmYeah, games can totally show what's important to people and even change how we think. Games serve as mirrors of our collective consciousness, reflecting our values and experiences. Titles like "The Sims" and "Mario" impart life lessons, while classics like "Pac-Man" and "Tetris" resonate universally with their simplicity and familiarity.Demon25 wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2024 7:46 pm Games are like a peek into our thoughts and what matters to us as a group. They can even shape how we view things. You know those games like "The Sims" or "Mario" that show us about real life and not giving up? Yeah, those. And then there's "Pac-Man" and "Tetris" that everyone knows because they're about stuff we all get.
