What is limit poker?
A limit poker is a variant of poker that limits the minimum and maximum bets. In a 4-8 limit, players are only allowed to bet $4 pre-flop and on the flop, and $8 for both the turn and the river. These are referred to as “big bets” and “small bets”. In limit poker, players are allowed to raise bets (up to four times in Capitol Casino). No limit poker means the betting round is basically unlimited.
A “kill” basically means raising the stakes in the game. A “Full Kill” doubles of the big blind, as well as the betting limits (4-8 becomes 8-16), a “half-kill” raises it by half (4-8 becomes 6-12).
4-8 limit Hold ‘Em (full kill)
6-12 limit Hold ‘Em (full kill)
8-16 limit Hold ‘Em (full kill)
9-18 limit Hold ‘Em (full kill)
12-24 limit Hold ‘Em (full kill)
1-3 blind no limit
2-5 blind no limit
2-5-10 blind no limit
