The Tie bet in Baccarat rarely comes through, so I prefer to skip it altogether. By doing so, I can protect my stake and maintain my position. Opting out of the Tie bet doesn't mean losing out; it's actually a strategic maneuver that works in my favor.

Yes, the perception of Baccarat as deceptive may stem from several factors, including the tie bet and the overall simplicity of the game. The tie bet often attracts players due to its high payout, but as you mentioned, it's statistically less likely to occur, making it a riskier choice.
Regarding card counting, it's not as common in Baccarat as it is in games like blackjack. In traditional Baccarat, especially when played with multiple decks, card counting is generally less effective. While some players may attempt to apply card counting strategies to Baccarat, it's generally not as successful or prevalent as in other card games. Baccarat is primarily a game of chance, and the outcomes of each hand are typically independent of previous hands. Strategies that may work in games with a more predictable deck composition are less applicable in Baccarat.
