As what I have observed, the reason why mostly guys are the one who's paying for the date is because they are the one who initiated the it. Girls may pay some time for some occasional event like surprise date or birthday. Well I haven't experience it yet because I'm NBSB so all I do is just observe~

I think guy on a first date because he ask the girl to date him so he must have the money before asking a girl for a date, but in a long run it should be 50/50
