If the dealer button in poker constantly rotates, why does it matter where the players sit?

In poker, the seating positions around the table, relative to the dealer button, hold considerable importance despite the button's rotation. These positions dictate the sequence in which players make their moves throughout each betting round. This sequencing significantly influences strategic decisions and overall gameplay dynamics. :)

seating arrangement still matters because it determines a player's position relative to the dealer button, which in turn influences their access to information, betting strategy, and the hands they choose to play.

Even though the dealer button moves around the table, where players sit still matters a lot in poker. It's all about position and the advantage it gives you during the hand. Being closer to the dealer button means you get to act later in each betting round, which gives you more information about what other players are doing before you have to make a decision.

The players sitting to the left of the dealer button are required to post forced bets known as blinds. These blinds ensure there is action and incentive for players to play hands.
