How do you approach game difficulty settings – do you prefer a challenging experience or a more casual one?

I prefer a challenging experience. It makes the game more engaging and rewarding for me.

I prefer to up the difficulty after I get a feel for the game to make it more difficult. It keeps things interesting and challenges me to do better at what I do. I take pleasure in the rush of defeating difficult obstacles and the feeling of achievement that follows.
